Sash Window Repairs Jersey
Refurbishing Jersey’s heritage — one window at a time
The Sash Window Repairs Jersey experience
About Us
At Sash Window Repairs Jersey, we offer a full traditional sash window repair service on a like for like basis that does not require planning permission.
Repairing your sash windows preserves your property’s unique character and is always more cost-effective than total replacement, which requires planning permission on listed buildings.
We ensure longer service life, improved airtight sealing and a notable reduction in exterior noise.
Sometimes sashes have simply been painted shut and need to be freed so they are operating with the correct balance with no rattling and less draught, and so a basic service is required.
High quality sash cord and brushed parting bead is always used, and both pulleys and fasteners will be replaced where required.
We can replace damaged restoration glass or normal float glass and re putty the sashes in the same day on all basic servicing, minimising disruption to your home.
In more severe cases the frame and sashes have begun to rot and they need to be repaired with skill and care on a like for like basis.
With full window restoration, customers can expect both sashes and frame to have paint removed, and all rotten timber repaired with premium Accoya hardwood, where permitted.
Both sashes and frames can be re-painted to full spec on special request by customer. We can also carry out any other historical woodwork repair that you may require.
All our restoration carpenters are local, highly trained and experienced tradesmen with between twenty and thirty years experience working on Jersey properties.
If you need our help, please book a free window and estimate survey, and we will quickly respond.
